Mrs. Margaret Louise PughMrs. Margaret Louise Pugh, 75, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton with Rev. Mike Barrett officiating. Mrs. Pugh was born on August 7, 1934 in Morganton, NC. She worked as a manager at Bell-South. Margaret was an active member at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church, which she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by husband, Arch William Pugh, and parents, Carl and Annie Chapman Brittain. Survivors include daughter, Ann Sherwood and husband Rick of Pleasant Garden; sister, Mabel Bowers and husband Lea of Rock Hill, SC; brothers, Manuel Brittain and wife Eunice of Morganton, Richard Brittain and wife Linda of Mt. Airy, Emmett Brittain and wife Pat of Morganton; grandchild, Kimberly Ellen Sherwood, step-grandchild, Thomas Sherwood and Andrew Sherwood; four nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, at Forbis & Dick, Pleasant Garden Chapel.
