Mrs. Polly Womack BarnettGREENSBORO-Polly Womack Barnett, 76, of Burlington, formerly of Greensboro died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Twin Lakes Healthcare in Burlington.The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Forbis and Dick Funeral Home, N. Elm Chapel, 1118 N. Elm St. Greensboro, NC 27401, with Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Barnett was born on September 3, 1933 in Harnett County, daughter of the late Eugene C. and Nancy Sharpe Womack. She was a first-grade teacher in Guilford County Schools for over 30 years. She is survived by her brothers, Graham Womack and wife, Lora, of Gibsonville, NC; John Womack of Georgetown, TX., Jerry Womack and wife, Joyce, of Olivia, NC and a sister, Shirley W. Holmes and husband, Joe, of Olivia, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William Hill Barnett, brother, Darius B. Womack and a sister, Wynona W. Langley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.
